What happens if you need a Hospital Visit?
SentinelX has designed additional plans that include Health Insurance and cover all Hospital Visits. Our Partner HMO’s enable us to deliver high quality coverage in our coverage cities.
Our Sentinels will work you through scheduling your hospital visits and coordinating with the HMO to make the hospital visit seamless.
Can I use SentinelX in other Cities?
Yes, SentinelX has coverage in 5 Nigerian cities including Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan, Ilorin and Osogbo. We are growing quickly to service more cities. Our Sentinels also coordinate your needs when you are in a City we currently do not cover in conjunction with our nationwide network of partner Labs and Hospitals.
Does SentinelX offer urgent care services?
Our Sentinels and Care Team can address a wide range of urgent and acute concerns. Since you can book same-day appointments and have 24/7 access to our careteam, we are great at urgent needs. Simply call our care lines and you will be connected to a Sentinel immediately.
Is SentinelX the same as Health or HMO insurance?
No, SentinelX is not the same as Health Insurance. We do have plans that incorporate Health Insurance. Signing up for any of our Health Insurance backed plans provides cover for hospital visits, prescriptions and some select surgeries.
What makes your Annual screening comprehensive?
Our Annual Screening makes over 54 Diagnostic Investigations available to our members. See here for a comparison of our screening to Insurance screenings and other vendors. We not only perform the investigations but we also promptly make available your results and our interpretation after review. Our Clinicians review your results with you letting you know exactly what everything means for you and what you can do next in your Care plan.
Can I use SentinelX alongside my current Insurance Provider?
Yes, you can. Simply sign up for any of our plans without the HMO Insurance options. All results and data your usage of SentinelX generates can easily be shared with your Doctor during a Hospital visit. Using SentinelX this way helps you maintain your insurance cover for only chronic health situations and even helps drive down the premiums of your Insurance charges.
Does SentinelX perform STI screening?
Yes SentinelX performs STD screening. Some STI’s like Hepatitis and HIV screening are available as part of your membership. If you have need of an STI screening not approved for your membership our labs will perform it at cost to the User.
How long does it take for Lab Results to be ready?
Within 24-48 Hours your results will be emailed to you and updated into your SentinelX profile. Some tests require longer than the stated period for processing. In such instances results will be emailed and updated to your SentinelX profile within 7 - 10 Business Days.
Why do I need an Annual Screening before getting a Care Plan?
The Annual Screening is a pillar of our services at SentinelX. The Screening enables your assigned Sentinels and Clinical Team to personalize a Care Plan for you. We don’t do One Size fits all at SentinelX. Providing targeted Care plans that enable you to deal with Health Issues and goals in a timely and productive way.
Can I get more tests done after the usual screening?
Yes. We give our members discounts on repeat tests and charge low prices for all tests current members may need to have during their membership.
Can I use other Diagnostics Centres asides from yours as a SentinelX member?
We run our Beacon Health Diagnostics Centers in several cities. We are working to expand very quickly and are adding new cities very quickly. We also offer Home Screenings so you don’t have to worry about commutes at a nominal fee.
What is Primary Care?
This is the first medical care you need. It is the type of care designed to help you catch health issues and treat them before they make you sick and before you need to see a specialist.

Is SentinelX a Hospital?
No. We are not a Hospital, ICU or Critical Care Facility. Our services are focused on providing Primary Care and Diagnostic needs for our members.
Is there a center for the fitness class? because I prefer it offline.
The Fitness Classes are virtual for most of our members both for their protection as we are in a Pandemic as well as because they are in different cities. We however do provide a physical class for SentinelX members in Lagos. Spots are quite limited though so book early.
What if I’m not satisfied with the care I receive?
Our Sentinels and Care Team work extremely hard to make sure that the care you receive is both timely and needed. Failing to meet your expectations is a very big deal for us and we’ll work equally as hard to fix it.
What is the refund policy?
We rarely need to do a refund but when an overpayment happens we verify and either direct deposit the refund no later than 3 Business days after verification or credit the overpayment towards your next SentinelX subscription.
Can my subsequent subscriptions be cheaper?
Yes. We provide numerous discounts and offers on your next subscription and on tests not covered by your membership.
I have questions about the privacy and security of my medical information.
All medical information entrusted to SentinelX are securely transmitted between our platform and you with high grade encryption. Not only that, we also train our team in handling your information securely especially if you are using our offline concierge service. Constant Data audits and security checks are done monthly across our entire service ensuring that privacy and security are not added worries when you use SentinelX.
Why do I need to fast before I can take some tests?
Sometimes certain tests require you to fast for 12 hours before the test happens. This helps the accuracy of the test and requires that you not eat or drink 12 hours before. You may take medications during this time and ensure to keep hydrated by drinking lots of fluids.
I don't always check my mail, can I get a phone notification instead or a reminder that a mail has been sent?
We offer several types of notifications within the SentinelX service and understand that you might want to experience our service through alternative means offline. Our offline concierge service solves this handily.
